A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to inactive addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from friends or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

If you have a cloud web hosting with our company and you would like to activate the catch-all feature for a particular email mailbox that you have in the web hosting account, it’ll take literally just one click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to accomplish this. A catch-all button is available next to each email address that you have created under any domain registered in your account. You can choose one email address per domain name by clicking on the respective button. This will enable the feature right away, so all emails sent to mistyped addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking the button again will turn off the catch-all feature. In case you’ve got enabled email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary notice and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature till you delete the forwarding or you can simply select a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be enabled easily in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created with the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll see a mini button conveniently located right next to each of them. With only a click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this option using the menu that will show up. If any of the requirements for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will warn you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
